Massage, who needs um?

Do I need a massage? How can they help?

Massage is designed to help your body come back into balance. The stress of life constantly stimulates your sympathetic nervous system — your “fight or flight” the sympathetic nervous system cannot tell the difference between being late for work or a life threatening event.

The parasympathetic nervous system is what counters and calms the sympathetic nervous system. This is the system massage focuses on to stimulate in order to bring the body back to center. Easing mental emotional and physical stress. Decreases pain and increase flexibility, allowing you to move more freely unhindered by pain or tension.

More than a luxury

Massage is often viewed as a luxury, a way to pamper yourself—but it is much more than that. Massage pairs well with physical therapy, chiropractic and healthcare providers in a whole body approach to healthcare to improve quality of life.

Making massage part of your regular self-care routine can help you get more out of everyday life, not just special occasions.
